It's obvious that Esther is passionate about this cause. Her shirt proudly declares, "This is what a feminist looks like."

As a vocal member of the Feminist Student Union at GW, Esther keeps track of the Global Women's Institute Events through email and social media.

A brief question and answer session near the end of the event, raised some tempers about the topic of pro-life vs. pro-choice. Esther was once a member of Voices for Choices, a pro-choice student organization that is no long in existence at GW.

Esther believes the discussion of feminism must extend to include women's reproductive health rights more fully. It's an issue that concerns women, as well as the fathers of their children (who are obviously men).

Some men are unaware of the power they hold in helping women move forward in society, particularly when they use their voice to discredit the viability of the movement.

Dan is a runner on GW's cross-country and track teams. He is vice president of his Residence Hall Association. He is a straight-A student. He is also a feminist.

His attachment to the feminist movement comes from being ridiculed from enjoying activities that are considered to be stereotypically feminine.

Feminism speaks to the need to embrace all kinds of personalities. HeForShe encourages men to not feel weak for doing "womanly" things.

And challenges the existence of the qualifier "womanly."
